Irish cricketer Kevin O'Brien smashes a six and his own car window

Irish cricketer Kevin O'Brien smashed a six and his own car window with one strike of the bat today.

O'Brien is known for his heavy hitting and he hit eight balls over the rope for Leinster Lightning against North-West Warriors at Pembroke Cricket Club in Dublin.

But one of his booming strikes went into an adjacent car park and straight through the rear windscreen of his own car.

The powerful blow smashed the window into pieces. It was all the more remarkable for the many cars parked close to O'Brien's vehicle that escaped unscathed.

O'Brien, 36, did have the consolation of his team going to win the Inter-Provincial Twenty20 Trophy match.
