Irish construction certification company opens first Scottish office

A Dublin-based company has opened its second office and its first site in Scotland.

Construction certification specialist i3PT has appointed regional associate Jonathan Barclay to head up the new Edinburgh office, which aims to create more than 40 new jobs in the next two years, depending on demand and investment in its research and development software product CertCentral.

The company is engaged virtually in most sectors within the construction industry, private and public sector.

It is currently working with a number of developers and investment funds in preparation for the incoming UK Building Safety Bill.

Last month, Enterprise Ireland agreed to support i3PT on a €2.4m, two-year investment as part of the government agency’s focus on fostering innovation in Irish companies.

Eoin Leonard, i3PT founder, said, “The business has been one of the few companies which had been lucky enough to grow throughout the recent pandemic - during this period, i3PT has also bolstered their senior team and developed an innovative technology roadmap.”
