Irish comedian PJ Gallagher divides opinions as he enjoys Easter egg served in bizarre way

Irish people have let their thoughts be known after comedian PJ Gallagher served up a beloved Easter treat in an unusual way.

The Radio Nova host took to Twitter to display his cooking skills as he turned his hand to deep fry two Cadbury's Creme Eggs.

In a video, the Dubliner is seen frying the battered chocolate eggs in a vat of oil before chomping into the snack.

He described the result as "absolutely delicious" and said the experiment had been " a success".

"I cannot tell you how good these taste," he said to his 122,000 followers.

However, while some people shared the enthusiasm, others were not convinced.

One person said: "They look amazing."

A second said: "Brilliant. You should deep fry M&Ms next."

A third wrote: "This will have to be tried when I get ashore."

Despite the positive comments, the majority didn't find the battered Creme Egg too enticing.

One said: "Oh god PJ, rather you than me."

A second wrote: "You got problems PJ."

A third commented: "Oh sweet Jesus."

A fourth said: "Looks like father jacks ear wax!"

Someone else said: "I’d say you could come off your cholesterol tablets if you just stuck to these."

While another added: "They look sad."
