Comedian Karl Spain admitted he has been put off doing Dancing With The Stars as he could never live up to Fred Cooke.
The funnyman is no stranger to reality TV having graced our screens on Celebrity Operation Transformation in 2016.
But the Limerick man, who is gearing up to head on a European tour, said he would be afraid to follow in Fred’s footsteps.
Speaking ahead of the 25th anniversary of the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival Karl said: “I think Fred absolutely smashed it this year, I know Deirdre did great last year but I think Fred absolutely nailed it.
"So, I’d be almost afraid that I couldn’t possibly match Fred.

"But it is great because the entire comedy community we all love Fred and we all got behind him.
"It was funny, no disrespect to the others, Des, Deirdre, Bernard, Katherine Lynch, there’s been loads, but there was an outpouring from us all this time going, ‘Come on Fred’.
“I think I am a terrible dancer, some people say, ‘you’ve got a bit of rhythm but I don’t think I would have the discipline for that show.”
