Irish comedian Fred Cooke has revealed that he is expecting his first child with girlfriend Julie Jay.
The popular comedian who's TV stints include the likes of Republic of Telly and Dancing with the Stars made the announcement today on Instagram.
Posting a picture of the pair Cooke told his 7,000 followers: "We've got some good news. We're expecting a baba!"
And Fred's comedian girlfriend Julie revealed they are expecting their first child to arrive in September and they have even picked out a name.
She said: "So myself and the truly lovely @fredstercooke have a little bit of news: baby Frulie is due in September."
"We feel unbelievably lucky and can’t wait to be a mammy and daddy!
A number of Irish stars took to social media to congratulate the couple on the happy news.
Hardy Bucks star and fellow funnyman Owen Colgan wrote: "Congrats to ye"
Social media star Enya Martin said: "Awh congratulations!"
Meanwhile RTE star Anna Geary said: "Massive congrats."
The stand-up comedian previously revealed that he struggles with anxiety but meditation helped him to avoid a mid-life crisis.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror he said: “I need my 10 minutes to meditate every day, I find if I don’t do it I get very anxious.
“I was in China doing these Buddha meditation sessions to learn the craft and I realised I look more stupid than I actually am in real life.
“The lady in charge of it was saying 'I just want you all to empty your heads'.
“Five minutes in she looked at me in the back of the room and said you’re very good at this.”
