That’s why it’s great to see Irish celebrities return from their lavish lifestyles to the home of chicken fillet rolls, midnight mass and Barry’s Tea.
Paul Mescal
Maynooth man Mescal is home for Christmas – and he has brought his girlfriend Phoebe Bridgers.
The actor was spotted on Grafton Street over the weekend with the American singer-songwriter. He was also seen in Dalkey.
Irish fans got a bit over excited on Twitter, but many saw the funny side.
One jokester said: “Just saw Paul Mescal and Phoebe Bridgers at mass in Knock.”
Another tweeted: “Phoebe Bridgers and Paul Mescal are watching the Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas special.”
And a third posted: “I wonder if Paul Mescal has taken Phoebe Bridgers to Supermacs."
Laura Whitmore
The Irish presenter is back in Bray for the holidays. So far, she has signed a few copies of her book in Dubray Books and she headed to Butler and Barry to celebrate her mother’s birthday.
She posted: “Happy Birthday to the best Nanna and a woman who knows how to rock rollers @carmelwhitmore.
“Couldn’t have got through the last 9 months, or 36 years, without you. Here’s to strong women, may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them #girlpower.”

McGregor is floating about Crumlin again and he’s been spending a lot of time promoting his pub the Black Forge Inn and his beloved Proper 12 whiskey.
He posted: “Sunday well spent at The Black Forge Inn with the unbreakable crew. What a spot, what a sound system, what a drinks selection!
“Oh and don’t forget our award winning Michelin star food served by master chef @eddraethorne amid team! Fuelled up Proper! Let’s go! We are The Black Forge.”
The dad-of-three has also been staying cosy at home too. He shared footage of himself playing Fortnite with Conor Jr last night.
Vogue Williams
The mum-of-two has transformed her home for Christmas and has returned to Irish shores to spend the season with her family.
Vogue, who is expecting her third child with hubby Spencer, had her Howth home decorated by interior design company Ventura Designs and has been enjoying the luxurious comfort of the house.
She’s also been enjoying facials, coastal walks, McDonalds and the Dublin beauty even managed to get her booster yesterday.
