Irish busker kicks off impromptu singalong with lively revellers chanting from apartment balcony in Galway

An Irish busker was given a lively response to his music last weekend when a group of young men began to serenade his song back to him from a nearby balcony in Galway city.

Tony Cunningham, 33, has been playing music professionally for over 15 years and was busking on Shop Street in Galway city on Saturday when the impromptu sing along began.

A video of the small moment of magic was posted to TikTok and showed Tony playing the Oasis hit 'Wonderwall' on the street near Dunnes Stores.

And as the musician entered the chorus of the song the small group of five young men began to sing the lyrics in return as they cheered him on over the sunny weekend.

Tony told the Irish Mirror: "I haven't been able to do a gig since the 7th of March, 2020, so when this happened it was absolutely fantastic to see just that small bit of life and craic back on our streets and in our country,

"I'm really hoping when the indoor dining comes back we can bring lice music back with a bang and get me and my brothers and sisters in this game back to work."

Tony posts his music regularly online and you can find more from him at Facebook.
