An Irish business has developed a new "game changer" filtration system that can remove 99.9% of coronavirus particles in a room in just minutes.
The new technology targeted for use in hotels, offices and homes can remove the Covid-19 virus in around 10 minutes and can remove 100% of the virus in 45 minutes.
The new system launched by OKTO Technologies can remove airborne particles and uses electronic disinfection techniques to kill bacteria and viruses.
Managing Director of OKTO, Philip Dowds, said the launch was fast tracked due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the need for the system across Irish sectors.
He said: "We fast tracked the launch of this system as a result of Covid-19 because we genuinely feel it will have a positive and helpful impact for hotels and businesses across the country as they reopen their doors.

The AI led system is designed to eradicate the problem of indoor air contamination and natural allergens or pollens.
And the system can be accessed through a user friendly dashboard system for occupants.
According to OKTO, the system is set to "minimise the risk of virus transmission on their premises."
