Boy with autism who was non-verbal a year ago belts out Westlife hit 'Dynamite'

A six-year-old boy with autism who was non verbal just a year ago was filmed belting out the new Westlife hit 'Dynamite'.

Alfie Lee, sang one of their hits shortly after his step-mum bought tickets for their gig.

Step-mum Sophie Sheperd, who proudly filmed Alfie's performance, told Cork Beo he was diagnosed with non-verbal autism at the age of three and spoke his first words just last year.

She said that one day, while in the car with his dad, the young boy began to talk and has been verbal since.

Sophie shared the video of Alfie singing online after buying tickets to the bands 'bespoke' show next summer.

She said he loves singing along to their hits around the house and added: "We often find him asking the 'Alexa' device to play their songs. He just loves them."

Westlife confirmed the news that they will play at the GAA grounds in Cork next summer at a media conference on Monday.

The band later revealed pop star Emeli Sande will join them as their special guest for the show next year.
