Irish boxer Gary Cully added another victory to his unbeaten pro start last night, but had to celebrate in the hospital after picking up a gruesome injury.
Brayan Mairena pushed all the way to the end but conceded to Cully on points to bring the Irishman to 8-0 in his professional career.
And after the bout was over, the Naas southpaw was brought to hospital and treated for a brutal gash on his left hand.
In a post following the fight, Cully posted a photo of the injury, saying: "A&E wasn’t where I was planning on celebrating last night.
