An Irish blogger has shared her heartache after her young boy passed away following a battle with cancer.
Dubliner Yavanna Keogh, who runs the popular Makeupmonster beauty blog, tonight shared the devastating news of little five-year-old Oscar's death with her social media followers.
Sharing a picture of herself, Oscar and dad Lar, she posted on Twitter: "Our magical Oscar passed away yesterday peacefully.
"Our hearts are completely broken."
Among others, broadcaster Maia Dunphy shared her commiserations with the family, saying: "I know there is nothing that can be said to ease this pain, but I am so very, very sorry. What an incredible little boy. XXXX"
Yavanna last January shared how Oscar had been diagnosed with a form of terminal cancer.
Doctors had found an aggressive brain tumour but it was deemed inoperable.
Little Oscar received a very special surprise from the cast of US sitcom The Big Bang Theory earlier this year.
Melissa Rauch, who plays Bernadette in the hit show, sent Oscar three videos including the cast after reading about his illness.
A GoFundMe for Oscar this year raised almost €50,000, having set a goal of €10,000.

Yavanna previously described how her family fused together throughout the past few years.
"Lar and I fall apart and put each other back together again on a daily basis and we couldn't do this without one another.
"You realise when something like this hits you that life is all about love and making the most of the people you cherish most, so that's what we're focusing on with our family," she said.
