Irish band releases powerful charity single in aid of the homeless this Christmas

Galway based band 'Blessed' have released a brand new single to try and raise money for the less fortunate this Christmas.

The song titled 'Homeless at Christmas' packs a punch with incredibly strong lyrics that highlight those who are in need this festive period.

The band is composed of Tony Cunningham from Tullamore and David Bracken from Pullagh, both of whom are trying to help in any way possible in the lead up to Christmas.

'Homeless for Christmas' (Blessed)

Speaking to the Irish Daily Mirror lead singer Tony said: "We wrote this song to hopefully raise money through music for the homeless people in this country.

"Homelessness is at an all time high in this country and there is little being done about changing that.

"At the moment there are nearly 4,000 children homeless in Ireland. Last week my son was born and I cant help but think about the poor children that are sleeping on our streets.

"We want to do our part to help, even if it is small we want to see change. We have to help these people, you help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button.

"The more people that know about COPE Galway, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
