Irish artist draws amazing picture of Adam King who stole the nation's heart on Late Late Toy Show

As the dust settles from last week's Late Late Toy Show the nation is still talking about some of the very special guests who appeared on the hit show.

This year's show, while different from other years, was a resounding success as host Ryan Tubridy managed to bring the magic to people's homes across the country when we needed it most.

And the decision to put the kids first and foremost certainly paid off with a number of children

In particular schoolboy Adam King, six, appeared on the show to tell Ryan Tubridy and the more than 1.5 million people who had tuned in of his plan for the future to one day work for.

In a heart-rending moment, Adam climbed out of his wheelchair and explained to Tubridy that while he can’t be an astronaut because he has brittle bones, he most certainly can be a commander on the ground.

Adam's appearance has since led to a huge response from people across the globe including bosses at NASA itself.

Now Irish artist Niall O'Loughlin is the latest to pay tribute to Adam as he dedicated his latest piece of work to the brave child.

Paying tribute to Adam's dreams of working for NASA, Niall has reimagined the star as Buzz Lightyear exploring the cosmos as Adam hopes to do some day.

Sharing the photo on social media Niall said: "Anyone who watched the Late Late Toy show on Friday would have seen Adam Steal the heart of the nation, so I knew I just had to draw him!"

Niall, a caricature artist who went viral earlier this year for his mural of Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan added that he was "overwhelmed" by the response to the picture adding it will now make its way to adam

He added: "Huge thanks to everyone who liked and shared etc. The family have been in touch and my Adam Lightyear drawing will be rocketing his way to him very shortly."
