IRGC Chiefs Threaten Netanyahu

Following skirmishes between Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, high-rank chiefs of the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) threatened to destroy Israel in case it took a hostile step against Iran.

IRGC Deputy Commander Hussein Salami pointed out that the wide-spread of jihad in the Islamic world has left a positive impact on the US-Iranian conflict, stressing that it elevated the cost of the US presence in the region and caused economic damages in the US administration.

During his participation in a conference for religious men working in the IRGC, Salami responded on Netanyahu that, “Whether claims that an Iranian drone was flying above Israel were proven true or false, then it is not the first nor the last drone belonging to the resistance front.”

He also denied that Iran dispatched missiles to pro-Iran Houthis in Yemen, but at the same time he threatened to launch more missiles.

“What would they do if we target them with hundreds of missiles?,” he added.

As Netanyahu stressed “not to test Israel’s resolve,” Zarif responded in sarcasm that this is a comic play that is not worth replying to.

Salami presented an overall view of how the IRGC chiefs look at the regime position regionally and internationally. The Iranian regime witnessed two types of confrontations with the international system, with US in the lead, according to him.

Official authorities say that the presence of Iran in Syria and Iraq is consultative, and came after the request of the Syrian and Iraqi governments for the sake of “fighting terrorism”.

Former Commander-in-Chief of IRGC Major General Rezaie threatened “If Israelis decide to do anything against Iran, we will flatten Tel Aviv.” Netanyahu won’t even find the time to escape if Israeli try invading Iran, he added.

“Fortunately today we are confronting with two opponents who are both grappling with domestic troubles; one of them with an economic corruption dossier and the other with election campaign offenses,” said Rezaie referring to US President Donald Trump and Israeli PM Netanyahu.
