Ireland weather: Warm and wet Wednesday in store as Met Eireann forecast warns of 'heavy' few days

If you're unsure of what to bring with you when you're going on a walk or just heading outside in general over the next few days, then the following should have you covered: sunglasses, a raincoat, shorts, an umbrella, snow boots and swim togs.

Okay, the last two are obviously unnecessary, but Met Eireann's latest forecast has essentially said that Ireland will see a mixture of all four seasons in the next four days.

The predictions is for 'heavy' and 'close' days, with high temperatures coupled with some thunderstorms and heavy rain showers.

Here's the latest Met Eireann forecast, judge for yourself!

Wednesday

"Feeling warm and heavy today with scattered thundery showers, mixed with spells of hazy sunshine. Some of the showers will be heavy and prolonged with the risk of lightning and localised flooding. Misty in parts too, especially along southern coasts. Top temperatures of 19 to 24 or 25 degrees Celsius, warmest across Ulster and the north midlands, in a light to moderate southeast breeze."

Wednesday night

"Scattered outbreaks of thundery rain will continue into tonight. Another very mild and humid night with temperatures not falling any lower than 13 to 17 degrees Celsius. Some mist or fog in places also, in just light variable breezes."

Thursday

"Rather warm and humid tomorrow Thursday with scattered outbreaks of thundery rain, leading to the ongoing risk of localised flooding. Mist and coastal fog in parts too. Some occasional sunny spells also. Top temperature of 18 to 22 degrees Celsius, in mostly light variable breezes, increasing moderate northerly near Atlantic coasts."

Thursday night

"Scattered showers will continue into the night-time hours with some mist and fog setting in later. Another very mild and humid night with lowest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees Celsius. Winds will be light and variable, though moderate to fresh northwesterly along Atlantic coasts."

Friday

"A day of sunny spells and scattered showers, some heavy across eastern counties later. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 or 22 degrees Celsius, warmest in the east, with light northwest winds. Showers will become fewer overnight with long clear spells developing. A little cooler that previous nights with overnight lows of 9 to 14 degrees Celsius, in light to moderate west to northwest breezes."
