Ireland weather tomorrow: Stunning day in parts of the country but change to come

Munster and Connacht are set to experience the best of the weather on Wednesday with the highest temperatures ranging between 17-21 degrees.

However, the sunny conditions won't be a consistent feature throughout the week with a mix of rain and sunshine expected.

When compared to the recent weather we've experienced, Thursday and Friday won't quite match the recent temperatures but the weekend is shaping up to be better.

On that note, here's what's expected over the coming days...

Tonight

Tuesday night will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle overnight. Mist, hill and coastal fog are also expected to develop with the lowest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees.

Wednesday morning and afternoon

After a dull and misty start that will see some patchy light rain and drizzle in places, conditions will dramatically improve, especially in the east.

Bright and sunny spells will develop by the afternoon with the highest temperatures ranging between 17 to 21 degrees.

Wednesday night

Generally dry but some drizzle may fall in the east as rain moves into the northwest towards morning.

Thursday morning and afternoon

The rain will move into the north and west of the country with sunny spells elsewhere.

As the afternoon develops, the rain will gradually become more widespread with some heavy falls, mainly in the south.

However, parts of the country will continue to experience the warm weather with the mercury ranging between 15 to 21 degrees, warmest ahead of the rain across the south and east.

Thursday night

Dry with broken cloud, however, some rain will still affect southern counties during the early stages of the night.

Friday morning and afternoon

A mix of cloud and sunshine but there will be scattered showers too, some heavy. Top temperatures will range from 13 to 18 degrees.

The weekend

Met Eireann state that "there is a lot of uncertainty regarding the weather outlook for the coming weekend and confidence in the forecast is low."

However, early indications suggest that there will be long dry periods with sunny spells and some well-scattered showers.

However, there is the chance the showers will be more numerous and widespread.
