Met Eireann have revealed that hot and humid conditions are in store as temperatures will soar above 20C for the weekend.
It will be warm, dry and sunny today, with highs of 22C but there will be some clouds and drizzle in parts also.
A forecaster said: "Thursday will be a mainly dry, warm, and sunny day. The best of the sunshine will be in the early part of the day, with cloud building later."
"Temperatures will reach between 19C and 22C, the best temperatures in the north of the country.
"Winds will be moderate southerly, fresh at times, and there'll be a risk of isolated showers in the west and south."
Meanwhile, Friday will see rain in the west and north with a risk of heavy or thundery bursts in the morning but mainly dry to start in the east.
The rain will move eastwards and then finally clear through the evening.
Temperatures will still reach balmy highs of 17C to 19C degrees in the west and between 20C and 23C elsewhere with a fresh southwest wind, veering westerly later and moderating."
And as we move into the weekend, experts are predicting warm, dry and sunny conditions with sizzling highs of 24C on Sunday.
The national forecaster said: "Warm and dry with good spells of sunshine over the weekend. Showers for the early days of next week.
They added: "Saturday will be mainly dry with long sunny spells. The slight chance of a shower or two in the northwest. Highs of 19C to 22C in light winds."
And Sunday looks set to be the warmest day of the week, with roasting highs of 24C predicted.
Met Eireann said: "Dry with good spells of sunshine. A warm day with highs of 20C to 24C, perhaps a degree or two lower along the east coast in a light easterly breeze."
