After a lot of cloud, a fair bit of rain and a thunderstorm or two over the weekend, it looks as if we're clinging on to summer this week, with Met Eireann predicting that temperatures will hit 25C!
The national forecaster has been pretty spot on in recent times - its rain and thunderstorm warning on Sunday came true in the afternoon.
So we're pretty hopeful of breaking out the shorts for possibly one last hurrah in 2021 when the good weather hits in a couple of days.
Here's the latest from Met Eireann:
Monday
"Any mist and fog will clear quickly on Monday morning. A warm day will follow, with improving sunshine as the day goes on, there'll be isolated light showers developing during the afternoon. Afternoon temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees, best values across the midlands and west in light easterly or variable breezes."
Tuesday
"Mist and fog will quickly clear on Tuesday morning leaving a largely dry day with warm spells of sunshine. Some light showers will develop in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 21 to 24 degrees generally but a little cooler on eastern and southern coasts in the light easterly breezes."
Wednesday
"Wednesday will be warm and dry with long spells of sunshine. Temperatures will reach 21 to 25 degrees and winds will be light northerly or variable."
Thursday
"Dry and mostly sunny with highest temperatures generally of 21 to 25 degrees. Cloudier though in the east and northeast, keeping highs around 18 to 20 degrees. Winds will continue light and will be northeasterly or variable in direction."
And there's even better news too, because it seems the good weather will hold into the weekend!
