Some mixed weather conditions are set to arrive over the coming days with patches of rain and mist set to arrive.
However Met Eireann has offered a largely optimistic outlook for the Bank Holiday with temperatures hitting the 20s and lots of sunny spells.
A forecaster said: "Mist and fog will clear away quickly this morning. Generally cloudy with some scattered showers, mainly in the west.
"Good sunny spells will develop, mainly over the eastern half of the country through the morning. However, showers will extend further east during the day but many parts of the midlands and east will stay largely dry. Highest temperatures ranging from 14 in the south to 20 degrees in the north. Becoming breezy as moderate to fresh southerly winds develop, strong at times in coastal areas.
"Mainly dry over the eastern half of the country tonight with clear spells and just isolated showers possible. Cloudier further west with scattered showers, mainly along western and northwestern coasts but becoming more isolated through the night. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds, though fresher along Atlantic coasts.
"A mostly dry start tomorrow with sunny spells but cloud will thicken from the west with outbreaks of rain developing, mainly confined to Atlantic coastal counties during the day.

"Holding drier further east with some afternoon sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees, though staying slightly cooler in the west and southwest. Moderate to fresh southerly winds will ease during the evening.
"A mainly cloudy night on Friday with light outbreaks of rain and drizzle over the western half of the country. Staying mostly dry further east with the best of the clear spells in the northeast.
Things will take a slight turn on Saturday morning with rain expected however they will quickly pick up giving rise to a nice Bank Holiday Weekend.
"Scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, mainly over Ulster, the midlands and north Leinster will gradually clear through the morning and afternoon on Saturday, with dry and sunny conditions extending from the west. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees, mildest in the east. Light to moderate southwesterly breezes will veer westerly in the clearance from the rain.
"A dry day, apart from isolated showers, with sunny spells on Sunday. Feeling pleasant with highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in light breezes. Staying dry overnight with clear spells though there's a possibility of some dense fog developing in light southeasterly or variable breezes. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.
"Mist and fog will clear away quickly for a dry morning with sunny spells on bank Holiday Monday.
"But cloud will push in from the Atlantic with scattered showers developing, with the driest conditions in the east.
"Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees in light to moderate southwesterly winds. Becoming largely dry overnight with lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light breezes."
