Following a recent weather warning that was issued for the country, the weekend is set to be more settled and the same conditions will carry into early next week.
However, Met Eireann state that "current indications suggest that from Tuesday onwards it will become more unsettled with rain and showers at times and highs in the mid to high teens."
Despite that news, the next few days are shaping up to be relatively decent with the temperatures reaching 21 degrees in some places.
Here's what's in store...
Friday morning and afternoon
A misty start with areas of fog and some patches of drizzle. Some bright spells will develop during the day but overall it will remain cloudy with a few scattered showers. Mist and low clouds will linger in hilly areas and on some coasts.
Highest temperatures ranging from 17 to 21 degrees.
Friday night
The cloud will linger with scattered light showers. There will be some patches of mist and fog developing too. S howers will become mainly confined to Ulster and Atlantic coasts with long clear spells developing elsewhere.
However, conditions will improve in the Atlantic coastal areas towards dawn on Saturday.
Saturday morning and afternoon
Fresh with a mix of cloud and bright spells. There'll be some showers, mainly affecting parts of Ulster but the odd shower cannot be ruled out elsewhere.
The highest temperatures will range from 16 to 20 degrees, coolest in the northwest of the country.
Saturday night
Mostly dry and clear with some well-scattered patches of rain or drizzle.
Sunday morning
A mixture of sunny spells and clouds during the day, bringing the chance of patchy mist and drizzle at times.
Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.
Renowned weather expert Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather has said Sunday's forecast is tricky "as risk of rain pushing into Southern areas. It could stay South of Ireland though."

Sunday night

As for the remainder of next week, Met Eireann has said: "Current indications suggest that from Tuesday onwards it will become more unsettled with rain and showers at times and highs in the mid to high teens."
