Ireland weather: Met Eireann pinpoint this week's best days with very erratic weather on the way

With some pubs around Ireland being impacted by the adverse weather conditions, publicans, restauranteurs and patrons will be keeping a close eye on the coming days.

After a relatively decent period of sunshine, it appeared that the rain is back and it's here to stay, however, temperatures will reach the 20-degree mark over the coming few days too.

In terms of the best sunshine over the coming few days, here's what Met Eireann are currently stating; Tuesday (19 degrees), Wednesday (20 degrees), Thursday (20 degrees), Friday (20 degrees) Saturday and Sunday (highs of 21 degrees).

A fair amount of dry weather is expected, but rain or showers will develop at times too. Temperatures ranging between 16 to 20 degrees generally throughout the week.

Here's how the next few days are shaping up...

Tuesday morning and afternoon

The day will start with showery and cloudy conditions across the western half of the country and these will spread eastwards through the afternoon with some showers turning heavy in the east.

The northeast of the country will experience the best sun but more persistent rain will develop in the northwest and west as the day develops.

Maximum temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.

Tuesday night

Cloudy with showery rain, mainly affecting the southern half of the country.

It's set to be drier further north.

Wednesday morning and afternoon

Cloud with outbreaks of rain or drizzle to start the day with some showers lingering into the afternoon and evening.

On the plus side, there will be some sunny spells too, especially in the west. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees, coolest along the west coast and warmest in the east.

Wednesday night

Mainly dry with clear spells. Lowest temperatures 12 to 14 degrees.

Thursday morning and afternoon

A dry, bright and sunny start to the day is expected. but a few showers may develop in Ulster and Leinster as the day develops.

Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.

Thursday night

It's shaping up to be mainly dry, but rain will develop in the west overnight.

Friday morning and afternoon

Friday morning will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain or drizzle in the west moving eastwards.

Thankfully, the rainfall will be quite small and there'll be some brighter intervals also. Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees.

The weekend

Met Eireann state: "Saturday and Sunday will bring sunny spells and scattered showers with highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees and light winds."
