Ireland weather: Met Eireann pinpoint day 'warm' conditions to hit as forecaster predicts BBQ weather

Met Eireann are forecasting warm and humid conditions to return on Sunday and into early next week.

After mixed weather for the start of September it is looking like the whole country will get a summery blast.

And Carlow Weather forecaster Alan O'Reilly is predicting "BBQ weather" to arrive from Sunday.

The weather man said: "Warm air over us at present with a high of 23c at Oak Park in Carlow today. Turning cooler for a few days before warmer air moves in again for the weekend and early next week."

And Met Eireann certainly agree with temperatures set to hit 22C on Sunday and stay warm until at least Wednesday.

A forecaster said: "Changeable weather for Friday and the weekend, with some rain or drizzle at times, especially in the west and north, but overall a good deal of dry weather. Cool a first, but becoming quite warm and humid from Sunday onwards.

"Quite warm and humid, with rain and drizzle at times on Sunday, mainly in Atlantic coastal counties. Hill and coastal fog also. Some bright or sunny spells will develop, mainly in the east and south.

"Maximum temperatures will range from 17 to 22 degrees, in moderate to fresh south to southwest winds, still strong on Atlantic coasts.

"Warm and humid(Monday to Wednesday), with some showery rain likely at times, but good dry spells also, with some sunny breaks."
