Met Eireann are predicting some sunshine to finally return after a miserable few days as temperatures look set to rise as high as 18C this weekend.
Thunderstorm warnings were in place across the country in recent days but no further severe weather is expected - although there will be some showers, particularly in the north.
However we will get plenty of sunshine on both Saturday and Sunday with the clearest spells expected by Sunday evening.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Most places largely dry today, there'll be a little sunshine this morning. A cloudier start for Ulster, cloud will bubble up countrywide this afternoon, bringing light passing showers, more frequent and heavier at times in Ulster. Winds will be light, west to northwest in direction and temperatures will range between 15 and 18 degrees.
"Tonight will be mainly dry with clear spells, still some shower activity for Ulster where it will stay a little cloudier too. Lowest temperatures 9 or 10 degrees with light variable breezes.

"Sunday will continue largely dry with brighter weather for the northwest, generally rather cloudy though. The south coast may see some cloudier conditions with the chance of rain there for a time. Highest temperatures 15 to 18 degrees with light east or northeast winds becoming light variable at times.
"Sunday night will also be largely dry with clear spells. Lowest temperatures 6 to 8 degrees with light variable or easterly breezes."
And as we move into next week conditions will improve slightly in the early days of the week before changing from Thursday onwards with "unsettled conditions" and plenty of rain on the cards.
A forecaster added: "Monday will be rather cloudy on southern coasts for a time and there'll be passing showers across the north too, overall it'll be a generally dry day. Highest temperatures 15 to 18 degrees with light variable winds, at times becoming east or southeast in direction.
"Little change for Tuesday with mainly dry weather with sunny spells. There'll be showers through the afternoon, most frequent in Ulster and these may be heavy at times. Highest temperatures up to 19 or 20 degrees with light winds.
"Wednesday winds will become southerly in direction with the possibility of rain affecting western coasts at first, then moving eastwards later. Temperatures between 15 degrees in the west to 20 degrees in the east with light southerly or variable winds becoming westerly as the rain clears.
"Current indications suggest unsettled conditions from Thursday to next weekend with the chance of rain at times."
