Met Eireann has issued two weather warnings as strong winds and heavy rain are set to batter the south-west.
One Status Yellow wind warning will be in place for Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork and Kerry, with gusts as strong as 100km/h expected to hit on Saturday.
And a yellow rainfall alert has been issued for Cork, Kerry and Waterford as up to 35mm of rain is to bucket down.
The wind warning will be valid between 9am and 8pm on Saturday, while the rain caution will be in place from 11am to 11pm the same day.
A Met Eireann spokesman said: "On Saturday, in coastal areas and on exposed hills and mountains, southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 45 to 60 km/hr with gusts of 80 to 100 km/hr."
He added: "On Saturday, from late morning onwards: Spells of heavy rain with amounts of 25 to 35 mm and spot flooding. Reduced visibility and hazardous driving conditions."
Meanwhile, Met Eireann's overall national forecast shows some parts will experience dry and sunny conditions.
Highest temperatures on Saturday afternoon will range from 15C to 19C.
Rain will become more widespread towards the evening, with "heavy bursts" being forecast for the south.
A forecaster said: "Saturday morning will be dry with some sunny spells.
"Rain will develop in the west towards noon and will spread eastwards through the afternoon and evening with some heavy bursts, especially in the south.
"Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with fresh, southerly winds, which will be strong along the west coast."
