Met Eireann has issued a status yellow wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo.
The warning is in place from 5pm on Saturday until 2am on Sunday morning.
For anyone living in those three counties, Met Eireann has said that "southwest winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 km/h with gusts of up to 100 km/h."
For those living on the coast, take note because they also state that: "Onshore winds will bring a risk of wave overtopping."
As for the rest of the country, a wet and breezy weekend is in store, with prolonged spells of rain affecting the west and northwest.

Saturday night
A wet and windy evening is on the horizon with outbreaks of rain and drizzle continuing overnight. The rainfall will be heaviest and most persistent in the west and northwest.
Rain will ease in parts of the south and east through the morning, though becoming widespread again in the afternoon
Take note if you're living in the west because fresh to strong and gusty southwest winds are expected, reaching near gale force.
Sunday morning and afternoon
Sunday will be another wet and breezy day with rain and drizzle falling. Even more outbreaks of rain will spread from the west through the afternoon and evening, later turning heavy over western counties.
As the day develops, it's set to be mild with the highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees.
Sunday evening
The clouds will remain on Sunday night with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle.
The rain and drizzle will be most persistent in the north and west, and heavy at times in western parts of Connacht and Ulster.
Elsewhere, it will be mostly dry in the eastern and some southern parts overnight.
It's also set to be rather windy with fresh to strong and gusty southwest winds, reaching near gale force and gusty in western and northwestern coastal areas.
