Ireland woke up to very icy conditions as plenty of snow fell across the country overnight.
Met Eireann had put 11 counties under a Status Yellow warning as temperatures plummeted to -2C on Wednesday evening.
While one alert has expired, Louth, Cavan, Monaghan, Antrim, Armagh, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry will remain under caution until later on Thursday.
Meanwhile, scattered snow showers are expected throughout the morning, with plenty of rain and sleet set to hit the northeast, before moving south in the evening.

A forecaster said: "A frosty start with icy stretches on roads. Scattered wintry showers and some bright spells this morning, with a few snow flurries.
"A more persistent band of rain and sleet will affect the northeast during the late morning, before extending southwards over the east and southeast of the country through the afternoon and evening.
"Elsewhere, showers will become more isolated. Highs of 3C to 6C and feeling cold in fresh and gusty northerly winds.
"Remaining showers or longer spells of rain in eastern areas will gradually clear southeastwards overnight and it will become dry in many areas with clear spells.
"Scattered showers will persist in parts of the west and northwest. Lows of -1C to 2C. Northerly winds will ease light to moderate overnight, but continuing fresh on coasts.
"A dry, bright day for many areas with sunny spells on Friday. Scattered showers of rain will continue to affect coastal counties, especially to the north and northwest.
"A cold day with highs of just 3C to 5C, in light to moderate northerly winds.
"Turning very cold in clear spells with a widespread frost on Friday night.
"Dry in most areas, but scattered showers will develop in northern and western coastal counties, with showers turning wintry once again on high ground. Lows of 1C to -3C in a light northwest breeze."
It looks as though the snow my have cleared by Saturday, but temperatures will drop again to -4C over the weekend.
The forecaster added: "A mainly dry day on Saturday with sunny spells. Scattered showers continuing in northern and western coastal counties - the showers mostly of rain.
"Another cold day with highs of just 2C to 5C in a light northerly breeze.
"Very cold Saturday night with widespread sharp frost. Dry and clear in most areas with a few showers affecting coastal regions.
"Lows of 1C near coasts to -4C inland, in light northerly winds.
"Frost will be slow to clear on Sunday morning. Then a dry day with crisp winter sunshine.
"Highs of just 1C to 4C with a light to moderate northerly breeze. Cloud will build on the east coast later in the day.
"Sunday night will be cold with lows of 2C to -4C degrees, coldest in the midlands and west. A northeast breeze will keep temperatures above freezing on the east coast, however it will also feed in showers to eastern coastal counties."
