Ireland's weather will continue to remain unsettled for the rest of the week and over the weekend, with Thursday shaping up to be particularly bad.
In recent days, various weather warnings have been issued and while the next few days will see spells of sunshine and high temperatures - for example, Sunday will hit 21 degrees - there's also set to be 'near gale force' winds too with spells of rain.
Here's what's in store over the coming days...
Wednesday morning and afternoon
A breezy start to the day as a band of rain spreads into the centre of the country, moving into eastern counties with sunny spells developing in the west,
Brighter and drier weather will follow for all areas through the afternoon, with sunshine and a few showers. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees.
Wednesday night
Mainly dry with clear spells. Cloud will increase and rain will develop in the west overnight with strengthening southerly winds.
Thursday morning and afternoon
A blustery and windy day is expected with winds reaching near gale force strength on parts of the west and northwest coast.
There will be outbreaks of rain in the Atlantic counties with sunny spells and scattered heavy showers following in the second half of the day. There will be some sunny spells too.
Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees, with the southeast seeing the best of the conditions.
Thursday night
It will remain blustery with further showers, mainly in the west and north. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
Friday morning and afternoon
A mixed morning that's set to be breezy with sunny spells and scattered showers, some heavy.
The best of the sunshine will be in the southeast again. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees.
Friday night
It's set to be mainly dry but rain will develop in the southwest overnight. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees.
Saturday morning and afternoon
The rain in the south will move northwards over the southern half of the country as the morning develops, impacting the northern half of the country through the rest of the day and early evening. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees.
Saturday night
There'll be further outbreaks of rain overnight. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.
Sunday
A warm and breezy start with some rain in the morning. This will be followed by showers in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees.
