Ireland weather: Met Eireann forecast country to be battered with awful conditions before major change for bank holiday weekend

Ireland is set to be battered with some awful conditions over the coming few days as heavy rain moves across the country and temperatures fall into the early teens.

Met Eireann has said Ulster, Connacht and north Leinster will see the worst of the conditions, with heavy rainfall likely.

However, things look set to improve just in time for the bank holiday weekend as the weather becomes warmer once again and rain clears into the Irish Sea.
