Met Eireann have warned a big change is on the way next week as a weather system from the Atlantic is set to hit Ireland.
Conditions will turn far more unsettled as a spell of high pressure slowly comes to an end.
However the rest of this weekend looks set to remain dry, if somewhat cloudy and even foggy in places.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "A dry and mostly cloudy start this morning with mist and fog slowly clearing. Staying dry for the day apart from a few spots of drizzle here and there. Sunny breaks will still occur though, the best of these in the southeast and south. Highest temperatures of 8 to 13 degrees, coolest in the north and mildest in the south, in light northwesterly breezes.
"Mostly dry with a mix of cloud and clear spells tonight. Becoming misty too, with some fog patches and there will be spots of drizzle at times, mainly in parts of Ulster and Connacht. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees, coldest along northern and southwestern fringes, in light northwesterly breezes.

"Mostly dry tomorrow, Sunday, apart from some spots of drizzle. A brighter day overall with some good sunny spells developing, the best of which will be in the eastern half of the country. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in a light northwesterly breeze, becoming variable and near calm later."
And experts say that we will see the return of some wet conditions from midweek as the high pressure system dominating our weather slowly declines, with rain and showers moving in from the Atlantic.
A forecaster added: "A good deal of cloud on Monday with some bright and sunny spells breaking through. Outbreaks of drizzle will occur, mainly over Ulster and Connacht. Highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees in mainly light southwesterly breezes, fresher on northern and northwestern coasts.
"On Tuesday light outbreaks of rain and drizzle will gradually extend further inland but there will still be a good deal of dry weather with bright and sunny spells during the day. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in light to moderate southwest winds, strong at times on western and northwestern coasts. During the evening, a band of rain will slowly move into western coastal counties.
"The band of rain will continue to track southeastwards during Wednesday, breaking up and becoming lighter as it does so. Good sunshine will follow in behind as the rain clears. Highest temperatures of 8 to 13 degrees in light to moderate west to southwest breezes. Becoming mainly dry for the night with a touch of frost in places.
"Turning slightly cooler for the rest of the week with some frosts at night. Rather unsettled with rain and showers. Breezy at times too."
