Parts of Spain are under weather warnings today with 40C heat arriving, but there's no sign it will blow up towards Ireland.
The southwest of Spain which would usually be filled with Irish tourists at the moment is basking in scorching conditions for the week.
But here we'll get some humid conditions, but the chances of any beach weather is out the window for this week at least.
However, Met Eireann have given a glimmer of hope that next week could see an improvement.
A forecaster said: "Early indications are for high pressure to build close to Ireland next week bringing a good deal of dry weather. However, cloud amounts will be variable and a few showers are likely."
Before that the country will have to deal with very different conditions depending on what part you live in.
On Thursday the south of the country will be blessed with "warm sunshine" and temperatures of near 22C but Atlantic coastal areas will see lots of cloud and showers.
Friday will be a similar story with nice weather in the south-east but cloud and rain elsewhere.
Saturday and Sunday currently look to be fine days in most parts before a potentially warm settled week of weather starting Monday.
