Ireland will enjoy a few more days of sunshine before a 10C drop in temperatures next week.
The country's Indian summer will be moved on and it will turn unsettled for the rest of the week with rain or showers and cooler conditions.
Today will be a day nationwide with long spells of sunshine with highest temperatures of 15 to 21 degrees.
It will be a foggy start in many areas on Monday but sunny spells are expected to develop during the course of the day.
Temperatures will range between 15 and 21 degrees.
Met Eireann forecast Tuesday will be an unsettled day as a band of persistent rain will move into western areas in the afternoon, spreading eastwards during the day and clearing to showers in the west in the evening.
The rain will clear eastern areas overnight, becoming a largely clear night but it will be cloudier with showers in western areas.
They added: "A cool and unsettled day with showers becoming widespread through the afternoon.
"Highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees.
"Further showers or longer spells of rain will affect mainly western parts of the country on Wednesday.
"Cool during the days with temperatures below average for the time of year."
Wednesday night will be a cold with temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees with grass frost possible.
