Ireland weather as Dublin set for more sunshine with big night time change bringing plummeting temperatures

It's a clear blue sky in Dublin this morning with the sun shining down as the temperature begins to rise across the capital.

Met Eireann is saying we've got a pretty sunny end to the weekend ahead of us, with the mercury set to hit 12C with some light breezes also about.

Tonight things will take a turn, with temperatures dropping to as low as -2C but the sky will be clear.

So make the most of your day and enjoy the sunshine by taking in some fresh air.

Met Eireann says: "Mist, fog and cloud will clear during Sunday morning, to leave a dry day with good spells of sunshine. In fact, becoming sunny across many parts. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees Celsius (mildest inland), in just light southeast breezes.

"Cold and dry tonight with long clear spells. Mist and fog developing later with some frost where skies remain clear. Lowest temperatures of -2 to +3 degrees Celsius."

As for during the week, we can expect more sunshine during the day although it's going to get slightly colder.

Once again night time will be pretty chilly as temperatures drop below zero.

By the end of the week, some small showers of rain may begin to appear so be prepared for that but overall Spring will stick around in Dublin.
