Ireland wear rainbow colours for Pride month during Zambia clash

Republic of Ireland National team players will wear rainbow colours on their jerseys in recognition of Pride month during this evening's game with Zambia.

The numbers on the jerseys will be adorned with the rainbow colours for tonight's pre-World Cup friendly at a jam-packed Tallaght Stadium.

The Pride Dublin parade will take place this weekend to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dublin Pride.

The blurb for this weekend's celebrations on the DublinPride.ie website reads as follows: "June is Pride! A whole month of activities and events for LGBTQ+ people and our allies with highlights including the Pride Parade and March, the Pride Village at Merrion Square and the Mother Pride Bloq Party."

Ireland's clash with Zambia is the first of a trio of friendlies Ireland will play before heading to Australia to begin their World Cup preparations.
