Ireland vs Wales predictions: Fans have their say on Six Nations match on social media

Ireland host Wales at the Aviva Stadium this afternoon in their second Six Nations game.

Andy Farrell's side defeated Scotland in their opening game last weekend, while Wales hammered Italy.

James Ryan believes Ireland need to go back to basics against their neighbours today.

"For us, the bigger the game, the more you need the basics to really count," the 23-year-old said.

"Last year we were trying to chase the game and it just fell into exactly what they wanted. The rain was pouring down and it was a difficult position to be in.

"When it's a wet and stormy day, it's mainly about the basics so, for us, it's just making sure that we have that awareness about ball control and how important it is to hold onto it - especially when we get into their 22 and close to their line.

"We might have got away with it last week but I don’t think we’ll get away with is this week. Wales are a different animal.

“They’ve won 11 of the last 12 (competitive) matches they’ve played - World Cup semi-finalists, Grand Slam champions, they’re a serious team.

"So we’re definitely going to have to crank it up a bit.

"The hope for us is making the Aviva a fortress. I don't think it will be easy for both sides this weekend".

Fans are divided as to how this afternoon's game will go.
