This matchup is one of the oldest international rivalries in all of world sport.

Ireland and England first met on the rugby field all the way back in 1875, with England winning 2-0.

The longest winning streak for either team is England’s run of eight straight wins from 1912-1924. Ireland’s longest run of wins is five from 1972-1976.

The biggest win in this fixture was England’s 57-15 demolition of Ireland at Twickenham in a warm-up match for the 2019 World Cup.

Ireland’s biggest win against England came in 2007, when 81,000 fans saw them thump England 43-13 at Dublin’s Croke Park.
