Ireland to be hotter than Malaga this weekend as Met Eireann forecast exact date of top temperatures

Ireland is due to be hotter than Malaga at times this weekend as Met Eireann’s latest forecast predicts one day to be a particular scorcher.

According to their forecasts, top temperatures of 24C will hit be felt this Sunday with Leinster and Munster seeing the best of the weather.

As for the days leading up to this, it looks as if temperatures will remain in the twenties for most, with some coastal areas experiencing cooler weather.

On Thursday, the morning will be “mostly cloudy with some patchy drizzle in places,” but it will become brighter through the afternoon and evening, with some sunny spells developing.

Highest temperatures will range from 16C to 22C - warmest towards the south and east.

It will be dry in many areas on Friday with isolated showers, but the northwest will receive some light rain.

There will be a good deal of cloud cover with better sunshine later in the day, most likely in the south of the country.

Highest temperatures will range from 17C to 23C and will be warmest in the southeast and coolest in the northwest.

Heading into the weekend, Saturday will be largely dry with just well-scattered showers in a mix of cloud and sunny periods.

Highest temperatures will heighten to range from 19C to 23C. Once again it will be warmest in the south and a little cooler in the far west and northwest with a light northwest breeze.

The best of temperatures will then hit on Sunday, as conditions are predicted to be mainly dry and warm with just isolated showers and sunny spells.

Highest temperatures will reach 24C - “best values across Leinster and Munster with light westerly or variable breezes,” meanwhile, in Malaga, top temperatures are expected to be 23C.

As for next week, the Irish forecaster says: “Early days of next week are looking to bring a lot of dry weather with temperatures in the low, possibly mid, 20s.

“Somewhat cooler for the western and northwestern areas where it may be cloudier, with a chance of rain there on Tuesday.”
