Ireland Survey: Should schools stay closed due to increasing infection rates?

Schools in Ireland are closed but Leaving Certificate students will be allowed to attend three days a week.

The measures will run until 31 January at the earliest.

Minister Norma Foley said the public health advice they have is that schools are safe environments.

The Teachers' Union of Ireland (TUI) has called for an immediate pause on plans to reopen schools for Leaving Cert students next week.

And the union has urged the Government to begin a consultation period as teachers voice concerns over Covid fears.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin announced the partial reopening of schools as part of the new restrictions to tackle rising Covid-19 infections.

Schools are expected to decide for themselves whether to open three consecutive days or space the days throughout the week.

But what do you think? Should all schools remain closed due to the rising number of Covid cases? And you concerned about the impact of closures on your child?

Please find the survey below. You can also find it via the link
