Ireland snub never a topic between Aston Villa pair Conor Hourihane and Jack Grealish

Jack Grealish is the best dribbler of a football that Conor Hourihane has ever seen.

But his decision to snub Ireland in favour of England is never a topic of conversation between the Aston Villa team-mates.

Grealish played for the Boys in Green up to Under-21 level but ended his time with Ireland four years ago after a drawn out international saga.

It was a blow for Martin O’Neill at the time but Greailsh is still waiting for his Three Lions career to ignite.

Uncapped, he was overlooked by Gareth Southgate in their most recent squad but there are calls for inclusion sooner rather than later.

“No, not at all,” said Hourihane when asked if he ever discusses the Ireland U-turn with the Villa skipper.

“That’s long gone. For some reason it keeps coming up now and again but people need to move on from that one I think.”

But Hourihane added: “He’s a fantastic player. He’s such a good dribbler of the ball, probably the best I’ve played with.

“He’s quicker with the ball at his feet than running normally and if you’ve got that skill it shows how good you are.

“He’s got the lot, he’s got everything to be a very, very good player. Like I said, ability-wise he’s probably the best I’ve played with.”
