Ireland's World Cup jerseys released - and not all fans are impressed

Ireland's home and away jerseys for the 2019 Ruby World Cup were released today - and not all fans are impressed.

It is less than a month away before Ireland's first World Cup warmup match at the Aviva Stadium against Italy.

And the likes of Robbie Henshaw, Conor Murray, Johnny Sexton and Bundee Aki were on hand to model the kits they will wear come the tournament in Japan.

The new Canterbury home kit is nothing dramatically different while the alternative kit is grey.

But some social media users voiced their disappointment at the latest offerings.

One complained: "Boring, boring, boring. Even as templates go this is garbage."

Another said: "Jesus lads that's one of the worst Irish jerseys in recent memory."

Someone else tweeted: "It’s just a green England jersey."

While another user opined: "Looks so much better without the logo splashed across the front of it."

Joe Schmidt's side are having an open training session in Galway today with versatile Ulster back Will Addison added to the squad.
