Ireland's planned open training session at the Kobelco Steelers tomorrow morning has been kiboshed by World Cup organisers.
Local schoolchildren were due to attend the session as Joe Schmidt was to open the doors to training, two days out from the Pool A clash with Russia in Kobe.
However it will now be closed because the IRFU were told this morning that World Cup bosses couldn't provide the necessary support.
It is hoped that up to 100 local children will still have the opportunity to meet the players towards the end of the session, in which the Ireland team will run against the Steelers.
It would have been Ireland's first open session of the tournament, after one scheduled for the squad's first week in Chiba was cancelled due to bad weather conditions.
JR19, the World Cup organisers, have yet to respond to queries for comment.
