Ireland's largest home show returns to the RDS this weekend

The Permanent TSB Ideal Home Show is back at the RDS to bring inspiration to home owners and those looking to get onto the property ladder, bringing mortgage advice, home improvement tips and interior design ideas to audiences.

Taking place from Friday, April 1 until Sunday, April 3, the Permanent TSB Ideal Home Show will be headlined by architect, interior designer, artist and presenter of RTE’s Home Rescue Roisin Murphy as well as quantity surveyor Patricia Power of RTE’s Room To Improve.

Plus, former Xpose presenter Lorraine Keane will be there to host a variety of guest speakers at the DFS Interiors Theatre as part of the Home Interiors Fair.

Lorraine has been making drastic changes to her €2.6 million Dublin home, gutting its interiors and planning a whole new layout for bedrooms and bathrooms.

Over the three days, the Permanent TSB Centre will have a team of experts on hand to help visitors with securing a mortgage, as well as explain the benefits of the bank's 2&2 award winning mortgage, other flexible options and competitive rates.

Permanent TSB Ideal Home Show Organiser Sean Lemass said: "The Autumn show was a huge success with so many people keen to get on with project post lock down. What was evident was the large numbers taking on building projects and retro fit projects, all looking to meet with providers face to face in light of the supply challenge in the current market.

"With new government grants recently announced, the Energia Retrofit Village set to be of particular interest as well as the talks at the Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan Advice Theatre."

The Mitsubishi Electric Home Advice Theatre will feature David McConnell of Mitsubishi Electric who will share his thoughts on energy conservation in the home and heat pumps.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a walk through the V2 Living Showhouse which will showcase "the best of urban living in a fusion of creative design, comfort and functionality".

Plus, the Drive Electric area will be showcasing a range of the latest EV’S, Hybrids and electric scooters.

Tickets are priced at just €15 per person, with OAPs getting a special rate of ,€10. Children under 12 years can enter for free.
