Ireland's first Tiki Bar has opened its doors in Dublin

Ireland's first Tiki Bar has opened its doors to customers in Dublin.

The OHANA is described as an "exotic stylish and contemporary take" on traditional Tiki rum bars.

It opened up on Harcourt Street in Dublin city centre last Friday.

The inspiration for the bar's design comes from a mix of Polynesian influences, with a colour palette featuring teals and crystal blues evoking images of the Pacific Ocean.

General Manager Will Lynch said: “At ‘OHANA we wanted to bring the spirit of Tiki to our guests – focusing on a relaxed and fun atmosphere, standout hospitality and exotic drinks and surroundings that allow you to escape.

"Gin has been a huge success in recent times, but we believe that rum will be the next big wave.

"We will be constantly working to curate an amazing cocktail menu, sourcing rare fruits and ingredients from around the world."

The OHANA bar's opening hours are from 5pm to late on Monday to Friday, and 3pm to late on Saturday and Sunday.

And to celebrate its opening, the bar also shared its secret recipes to some of its most popular rum cocktails:

Everybody's favourite frozen tropical weapon. ‘OHANA's version uses some of our favourite rums and keeps it classic, with a little pinch of cinnamon to finish, as a nod to Havana.
