This is Ireland's current coronavirus curve which shows daily cases have been starting to rise in the past week compared to late June.
The HSPC compiled data has been tracking the cases per day since the virus arrived in Ireland.
The 32 new cases on Tuesday was the highest daily rise since June 13 when 46 cases were confirmed.
The Minister for Health this morning warned that the R rate is somewhere between 1.2 and 1.8 which could see an alarming spike in the coming weeks.
Minister Stephen Donnelly anticipated as many as 160 cases per day in mid-August after a "big jump" in recent days.
He told Morning Ireland on RTE Radio One: "This R number, which we're all very focused on, has gone above one. They [NPHET] believe it's somewhere between 1.2 and 1.8.
"If it's 1.8, they believe within about three weeks we could be up to 150 to 160 cases per day, which is obviously a completely different place we don't want to be in."
The last time Ireland's cases figures surpassed 100 even was all the way back on May 22 when they hit 115.
The numbers of more than 20 cases per day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday was the first time since the first week of June that cases have risen by more than 20 consecutively.
With just 14 cases on Wednesday however and the decision not to open pubs and bars it is hoped a second wave hasn't already been sparked.
At the disease's peak in Ireland there were 936 cases in a single day on April 23.
