Ireland rugby star Simon Zebo and partner Elvira Fernandez welcome third baby

Rugby star Simon Zebo and his partner Elvira Fernandez have welcomed their third child.

The Irish rugby player's partner gave birth to a baby boy this week.

Simon announced the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of the trio from the hospital bed and revealing the name they had chosen.

He wrote: "Welcome to the world, my son - Noah Anthony Fernandez Zebo".

The couple are already parents to Jacob and Sofia, RSVP Live reports.

Earlier this year Simon announced the news of the  pregnancy  on Instagram.

Sharing a gorgeous family selfie, he simply wrote: "Blessing number three on the way."

Fans and friends flocked to congratulate the happy couple on their wonderful news.

Simon announced his retirement from Munster in 2017. He continues to play for the Irish team.

“This club has moulded me into the player and person I am today and I will forever be grateful for that,” he told MunsterRugby.ie. at the time.

“It has always been my dream to play for my home club, wearing the red jersey while representing my family, friends and local community.

"However, I have always noted the draw to play abroad one day, and I’m not talking this decision lightly, I have decided on what’s best for my family.

“With my partner Elvira and two young children Jacob and Sofia, we are planning for our future and this is the right time for us to make the move.

“As much as I will miss everything about this place – the players, staff, supporters and friends for life – I know there are many more special nights in Thomond Park and Irish Independent Park to be had.

“I will continue to enjoy wearing my jersey with pride and will give my all in making sure Munster are a success this season.”
