Ireland suffered a disappointing defeat to Luxembourg tonight as their 2022 World Cup campaign stalled in just the second qualifier.
Here's how Stephen Kenny's men rated at the Aviva Stadium tonight:
G Bazunu 6 - Didn't deserve this on debut after making super saves to thwart Rodrigues and Thill
S Coleman 4 - Ireland needed the skipper to take the game by the scruff of the neck but couldn’t
D O’Shea 4 - Busier night than he anticipated but solid for the most part and looks a leader
C Clark 3 - Vital first-half block on Rodrigues but made way for McClean on the hour mark
M Doherty 2 - Shipped an early injury and struggled on before being subbed at half-time

J Cullen 3 - Sat in front of the defence but wasn’t watertight as Luxembourg broke cover too often
J Knight 4 - Insatiable appetite to cover ground but the Derby skipper couldn't take control
E Stevens 4 - Struggled to generate attacks down the left before finishing up as a centre-back
A Browne 4 - Couldn’t create chances in the hole and switched to wing-back after Doherty withdrawal
J Collins 5 - Worked hard and deserved a goal for his audacious overhead in the second-half
C Robinson 4 - Plenty of ball but was rusty and failed to unlock the defence apart from one shot
IRELAND SUBS:
Robbie Brady for Doherty, 45 mins - 4
James McClean for Clark, 61 mins - 4
Shane Long for Robinson, 73 mins - 4
Troy Parrott for Collins, 88 mins - 3
Jayson Molumby for Cullen, 88 mins - 3
