Ireland's goal drought continued this evening as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Wales in Cardiff.

Darren Rondolph 6 - Didn’t have a great deal to contend with until smart saves late on to deny Brooks and Roberts.
Matt Doherty 6 - Coped with the Welsh attack in the first-half but Bale got the better of him for the goal.
Shane Duffy 6 - Went close with two headers but Wales snuffed him out and couldn't deny Brooks for the goal.
Kevin Long 7 - Rare start and solid showing with two key blocks on Daniel James the best of his work.
Dara O’Shea 6 - Deployed as a make-shift left-back on his third cap and quickly learning on his feet.
Jeff Hendrick 5 - Frustrated late on and saw red for a lunge on Roberts and will miss the Bulgaria game.
Jayson Molumby 5 - Below par and picked up a costly yellow card which means he is suspended against Bulgaria.
Robbie Brady 7 - Ireland’s most creative spark and Kenny will be praying he gets regular games at Burnley.
Daryl Horgan 5 - Pressed well and caused problems early on but influence waned and subbed second-half.
Adam Idah 6 - Another show of faith from the manager. Held the ball up well but lacked predatory instincts.
James McClean 6 - Worked hard and went close with a shot. Added old fashioned bite which stood to the team.
