Ex-prisoner Wayne Hart is now an advocate for penal reform (Tedx)

The sun was shining on Croke Park the day Wayne Hart decided he wanted to change his life.

In the glow of the early morning, Hart made his way up the North Circular Road, looked out on Dublin’s grandest stadium, and made a decision.

It would be several years before he concluded his final stint in jail.

For Wayne Hart, the road to rehabilitation has not been a short one – nor linear, not like the road from Mountjoy Prison to the junction at Summerhill.
