Ireland Lotto results: Dubliner comes agonisingly close to landing €10 million jackpot but nabs nice consolation prize

A Dublin player came agonisingly close to winning a staggering €10 million lotto jackpot.

Punters in Clontarf have been urged to check their tickets after one person missed snapping up the massive windfall by just one number.

However, the player matched five numbers and the bonus to win the €52,969 prize.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at the Spar store in Vernon Avenue in Clontarf, Dublin 3.

The winning numbers for last night’s Lotto draw were: 06, 18, 36, 41, 46, 47, and the bonus was 32.

The winning ticket holder is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to get in touch with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.

Because there was no winner of Wednesday's draw, the jackpot will roll to an estimated €11.5 million.
