Taoiseach Micheal Martin has promised to give "clarity" on Thursday when he makes a national address regarding Ireland's summer reopening.
The Fianna Fail leader told reporters today he will deliver a "comprehensive statement" on what's to come in the next month, but refused to be drawn on whether exact dates will be given for hospitality.
Mr Martin did however say that when sectors like hospitality open this time, he hopes and wants it to be for "the long haul".
The Taoiseach said: "We'll make a comprehensive statement on Thursday, a very comprehensive statement, we'll give plenty clarity.
"We gave dates and timelines for the month of April, we've honoured those, so far so good, the Irish people have responded magnificently to the guidelines, all we open we want to keep open this time.
"That's the real prize for the hospitality sector this time, when we open a sector or part of a sector we want it to be for the long haul.
"We will see what we can outline for June in respect of hotels, B&Bs and guesthouses, we'll see what we can do there."
When asked about reports of Johnson and Johnson delivery delays, Mr Martin said they are still "doing everything we possibly can" to try and vaccinate 80% of adults by the end of June.
He added: "The bulk of the J&J was due in May and June, so the bulk is still to come."
