Eager customers are longing for the day when they are allowed to pop back into Penneys to pick up some bargains.
As retailers await word from the Government on when they will be allowed to reopen, Penneys has revealed that they have an exciting new range of clothing ready to hit shelves as soon as they get the go-ahead to welcome shoppers back in stores.
Like other businesses around the country, Penneys has been forced to shut its doors for a number of months due to Level 5 lockdown, with the Government yet to offer a timeframe for when they will be permitted to reopen.
Earlier this month, Tanaiste Leo Varadkar warned that restrictions around retail and other personal services will likely remain in place until at least mid-May.
When asked about the potential of shops like Penneys reopening, the Dublin West TD said "click and collect is something that could be considered for April 5" and that "the reopening of non-essential stores is something that's further down the line."
While it remains to be seen when customers will be allowed to flock back into the Penneys, the company has revealed that it has a number of exciting new ranges waiting for shoppers upon their return.
Among the new stock set to hit shelves when Penneys is back up and running is the retailer's new Spring/Summer collection, which includes bright leisurewear in spring pastels.
The company has also teased some exciting new collaborations with Disney, the NBA and Pineapple, which will all be in-store when they re-open.

"As always, we don’t do seasonal sales but customers can expect our normal great value prices across all of our clothing, accessories, beauty and homeware.”
